I took these pictures on the trip from Cedar Rapids, Iowa to the reunion in San Diego.

So, Kevin and Bill, you think by camping out every night until we get to San Diego and then camp on the way home is going to make me thirty years younger. Huummmmmm!!!!!

On our way to the San Diego reunion. Our first camp sight. Western Nebraska Aug. 8th, 2000.

Kevin likes to go around and bushwack campers at night. This air mattress looks comfortable doesn't it. Well because of leaks the air will be gone in about 3 hrs. I found that out at day break.

Our second nite camping. Kevin and Bill are looking for leaks in the colorado River, with no luck. This is what Semper Fi is all about faithful to each other.

We ran out of food so we were seeing who we was going to have for dinner.



Then Bill and Kevin looked at me and said. "Lets have white meat Iowa pork". (me)

Bill's covered wagon. I bet the old frontiersmen would like to have had one of these with 350 horses under the hood.

We are taking a break in Utah.

Our third nite was at Mesquite Nevada. All three of us got a pool side room for $23.00. The dessert got up to 113 degrees.



Our fourth nite was in the San Bernadino Mountains.




Is this living or what?

I think Dave went that away!



Kevin says this Blue Jay is a Scrub Jay.



We finally made it to San Diego. The following pictures were taken at the reunion.

After hours Bull session everynite. Going strong up to 3:00am.

Ozzy, this is one neat guy! He helps vets thru the court system. He told me some stories where he helped turn some lives around.
