| Comments:update-First, I want to thank Oliver for this website. It has been great to be able to re-connect with so many buddies. As time passes (at least for me)so many of the rough times fade and all that remains are the great friendships. Semper Fi. --I joined Lima Co. in May'67. I was with 1st.Plt. I just remember serving with a lot of great Marines. To name a few; SSgt Johnson, one of the best Marines I have ever known, Bud, Duke, Snuffy, Smiley,Stu, All the Docs, Chief, John and Mike. Also some great leaders; Lt Vaart,and Capt.Hubble who both made the ultimate sacrifice. Capts. Gibbs and Hempel-good leaders and examples then and now.
